Do you have any pictures of the butt? My first instinct is to walk away unless you were going to get a proper stock. Otherwise you would always be apologizing for the butt.

Dean, is that a 1 frame 12 ga, or is that a `16. The 3 1/8" drop is a bit much for me.

Right, it is a light 1-frame 12 with 28” barrels choked IC/Full.
Restocking would likely cost mor than the gun would be worth when done. If it was anything smaller than a 12 I might consider it but Grade-2 Damascus 12’s with these commonest of features are NOT desirable these days, even in this high condition. So unless it’s dirt cheap I think I’ll pass. I already have a couple of project guns and don’t really need another. .

It's a beautiful gun. The Damascus pattern seems unusual...is that chain Damascus?

Dean,
I had a 12 gauge GH 1 frame in the 67,000 serial number range that was my "Benchmark" Parker. I sold it to Kevin Kelly at the 2012 Fall Southern along with my 28 gauge VH. Buy the gun and restock it. So what if you're upside down on it and at your age it won't amortize out. Harry |
