Ok... lets start with a photo of what you have to first determine if you have a problem or not.
Then we can go from there.

Ok. Yes. An aftermarket, but period correct, recoil pad.
The butt may have been cut, so getting an original style buttplate to fit may not be an option. Measurements of the wood surface for height and width would tell for sure.

Thanks Johnny Rosito - Yes, it is good information... something you will almost always get on this forum.
Please notice that I spelled your name correctly... .

I took it to a renouned gunsmith who measured the stock and determined it has never been cut. Would anyone be able to provide a photo or exact name/ part # of what butt plate I should be looking for? Again, I'm looking for an original not a reproduction.
Thanks again, Johnny |

Renouned or not, the easiest way to tell is of there is still a curve in it. One photo looks like it has a curve, the other not. And the minor chipping along the edge of the wood is suspect if it is untouched.
And if your gun was originally equipt with a pad, then it would have been made that way and a buttplate may not fit. What is your current LOP over the pad? If you gun originally had a plate on it, it would Likely have been the number 1 sized plate. But that cannot be confirmed without a height measurement of the wood.

Length of pull. As measured from the face of the front trigger to the center face of the butt mounting surface.
