Default 2 Parker Bros Guns

Hi I’m new to the forum and am interested in valuation opinions for two guns that belong to a friend. They were inherited and and seem to be in their original configuration. Please see the attached photos one of which includes the specs and serial numbers. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

Best,
Rob

You need to see an appraiser. I know John Allen who is often on this board does appraisals and maybe you can check with him

Plus the photos are very poor and there is no way to even know what grade the guns are! Join the PGCA and get a letter then you know what you have.

You have a DHE 20 and and Trojan 20ga. 20ga Parkers are very popular. Take them outside and take a dozen closeup pics of each gun and you will get better feedback.

You have a 20g trojan and what a 20g DH.

Both valuable guns if in good original condition.

However, condition cannot be told by the poor photo you posted.

Default One is in the book with longer barrels.

As I read the handwritten notes in the picture above, the barrels on the Trojan are measured at 26 inches. Per the Serialization book, they can have been expected to be 28 inches long. So very good clear pictures (at several angles) of the ends of that gun’s barrels are called for.

The other gun, the Grade 3, is not in the Serialization book.
