Default L C Smith 20 Gauge Field Grade

I bought this gun and it was in bad shape, but its a 20 gauge with ejectors, Hunter One Trigger, beavertail forend, and raised rib. Unfortunately someone decided to add weight to the stock by drilling holes in it and then pouring molten lead in it. Lead expands when it freezes just like water so guess what, the stock split in several places. I sent the gun to Brad Bachelder and he repaired the stock and restored the gun. See the before and after pictures and comment.

Seeing the before and after reminds us that most guns are salvageable. These projects are often financial labors of love but an investment in the future. Nice job, and congrats on getting the right work done the right way. I look forward to seeing this gun in the field as the season turns to autumn.
