I’ve seen one on a T/A AA hammer gun but not a Lifter.

I can’t even imagine what those screws are for.

The George Peck C Grade lifter has a Lancaster single trigger. My Prussian Daly hammer pigeon gun also has a Lancaster (Infallible) single trigger. Both guns were mentioned in a Lancaster catalog folder. I don't know who owns the George Peck lifter, but it surfaced several years ago with a PGCA member. I would like to put it together with the Daly some day.

Phil, I think that is a wonderful lifter with several unique features. In my opinion it would be worth fixing.

I would "guess" the the rib was loose or came off and to screw it on was easier then soldering back on. I think that can be fixed or at least improved. That would be a good question for Breck Gorman.

I like that curved buttplate. Overall a fantastic early Lifter!

Could be screws for a sight. I had a GH that had two screw holes at either end of the barrrl roll mark. I was told they fastened a Nydar (?) gunsight.

I have two Parkers with screws in the rib. Unfortunately, my Nydar sights do not line up with the screw holes.
