Default Stolen Parker - Help with Value

Hi All - My home was broken into and of the items stolen was a parker 20ga. I inherited it from my great grandfather and possibly even 2nd great grandfather. Working with insurance on a claim and trying to get a value on it - excluding the sentimental value it held. I don't have many pictures but am including the two I do have. Any help is much appreciated.

GH 20 gauge in excellent (not pristine) used condition with little case color but good damascus pattern as shown in the two pics should be in the $2K-4K range depending on barrel length and stock dimensions. More pics and details should help narrow the range. Others may differ.

City and State in case it shows up in a pawn shop, gun show, etc.?

My estimate would be higher.
I paid $4,300 for a GH 20g with 28” Damascus barrels four years ago and I’ve loved it ever since. Seen very few others for sale and the asking price was higher.
Sorry for your loss

Go to the blue book and online sale ads for pricing on comparable parkers. No insurance company is going to take the opinion of internet forum posts as a value. A documented source such as the blue book will be your best bet. In most cases it will be higher than the actual market value at the given time.

I don't know how much this gun was worth, but I would rather set the value a tad high, than too low.
The insurance adjusters are being paid to represent their side, and if they think you're setting the replacement value too high, let them justify their position, or find a replacement.
Like kind and quality is the rule.
