Default Parker 28 ga two-barrel set on GB - WOW.

So there WAS this beautiful 28 ga Parker Repro on GB with two 28" barrels, one Q1/Q2 the other IC/IM. Closed at $7,500. WOW!

Yep, and the gun left the factory as a single barrel set, the other set was added, serial number changed and the chokes were altered on that set as well.

You sure? The IC/IM stamps line up. Would have been really hard to change the #'s.

It is interesting that the IC/IM barrels have a "1" stamped on the forend lug. I can't zoom in close enough to see the serial #. But explain this... 28" Q1/Q2 barrels? I've seen them in 26" but not 28".

They do exist (28" Q1/Q2) but, they are indeed rare. Look close at picture #80..not only was the s/n changed but, someone hand engraved "1988" with an electric pencil upon the lug. It's conceivable that was done by Regeant in order to add a set of barrels, upon request. The altered s/n sticks in my crawl though..

The 28" Q1/Q2 barrels do exist - I had a two-barrel set, one set of which was 28" and choked Q1/Q2.

But what I have never seen is a set of Parker Reproduction barrels in any gauge or length choked and stamped IC/IM... IC/MOD all the time, but never IC/IM

Just had a chance to zoom in on #80 and you are correct: definitely altered.

Jay, we have discussed 28-ga., 28", factory choked Q1/Q2 Repros a couple of times on the forum. This pair of consecutive numbered Repros with that particular gauge/barrel/choke combination are owned by a Forum Associate.

I've come across several 20-ga., 28", Q1/Q2 guns, but only a very few 28-ga., 28" factory choked Q1/Q2 Repros. But, the rarest of them all, I have to believe, is a 12-ga., 28" factory choked Q1/Q2 Repro. I've never seen or even heard of one. How about anyone else, do you know of any 12-ga., 28", factory choked Q1/Q2 Repros in existence?

Somehow I knew you owned (or did own a 28" Q1/Q2 barrel set) but felt it would be poor manners to name you specifically. Thanks for sharing. oops, got confused for a minute and kind of/didn't see what you were referring to (IC/MOD vs IC/IM)..got it now.

Further, look at the $7500.00 gun..it is stamped IMP CYL in lieu of IMP. CYL..good catch, Dean.

Although there are a few inconsistencies..it's a nice gun with great wood..if someone here bought it..congrats!
