Default Primer Question

The Hodgdon Reloading Data Center when calling for a Remington primer uses the term "Remington 209P". Is this the same 209 primer as the Remington "209 STS" Primer? Thanks

From the Remington web site (2006):

Question:

Are the Remington 209PSTS primers direct replacements for Remington 209P primers?

Answer:

Yes, they are a direct replacement. The amount of mix and the type of mix are the same. The flash hole is a little smaller for improved direction of the flame for a more consistent ignition of a variety of powders. The other improvement was a behind-the-scenes computerized control system for making the key primer mix ingredients. The whole improvement effort was directed at making a more consistent primer.
