That is not corrosion on the Lefever, but is the laquer peeling off the frame. The dogs head escutcheon on the fore arm must have fallen out and was replaced with a wood plug. My friend has one and I might see about having it replaced, depending on how difficult it would be and cost. Someone blued the GH barrels, it is an O frame. The Parker is from 1893 and the Lefever, 1897. The Lefever weighs 6lbs 4 oz and the Parker about 6lbs.
