We very rarely ever had a bad morning down there. I can only remember a couple of times we didn't shoot a limit and we always shot ducks. I think I was there for 9 opening days in a row if memory serves. Went the first time in 1996 then every year till the Hurricane. Ed went with me the first time in 2000 I believe.

Hollywood mallard......AKA a grinner is a spoonbill.
Destry, the ducks have also been scarce on the Texas Gulf Coast since the hurricanes and the evaporation of rice farming.
