Default AyA?

Any happy AyA owners? I hope I'm not permanently banned from here, but I recently picked up a lightly used 16 ga. AyA #2. It seems to fit me well and it has 30" barrels choked 9 & 27.

They are a well made shotgun, and not too bad on the eyes either.

Thanks, Dean. I haven't owned a Spanish shotgun for 15-20 years. I've always wanted one of these. I blame McIntosh.

My first double was a 28 ga Ugardtechea ( Spanish gun ) double triggers 27 inch barrels, English stock killed lots and lots of doves, wild pheasant. Then I tried a Winchester 23. Next was an RBL 20 it killed lots of birds. It is a great gun. Thank the Lord son loves it. It is called my mistake gun besides upgraded wood I ordered a single trigger and a beavertail. Then I picked up Parker and it was like I had died and gone to heaven,

They are nice guns especially for the money. I think the older guns are a little nicer as far as finish goes but thats just my opinion. I passed on a used but well maintained #1 years ago in 20ga that I shouldn't have. A friend has a beautiful one in 28 with 30 inch barrels. You'll like the gun I'm sure.

AJ and I were talking a couple of weeks ago about the AyA shotguns. He went to Barcelona to tour the plant and to interview them. He has a tremendous respect for them.

It's just a touch under 6 lbs. 7 oz. with a 15" stock to a checkered butt. I got lucky on the fit, and I really can't make a case for adjusting the chokes. At this point with the long barrels I see it as more of a field gun vs grouser, but who knows.
