I have recently purchased a 16 guage DHE serial 232214. It has a DHBP which appears original. Did DHE's usually come with a skeleton butt plate? The wood appears to be an upgrade. I just got my letter but no info on the buttplate. Thanks for any insight.

Steve, We have seen D grade guns ordered with a "rubber butt" That is Parker Bros. way of stating a DHBP. They are uncommon but I wouldn't say rare. You have a wonderful D grade and the wood is georgeous. Congratualtions!
