Sounds like a great day Russ. Judging from the smile on Chip's face he had fun too.What did Brad do to your 28? What no rug in the pictures?

Russ;
Good for you and Chip. Nice pics although I almost did'nt recognize the 28 without the flower mat. Nice hat, where did you get it and who made it? |

Dave ,The 28 had been redone years ago by Kerrs of Beverly Hills if it hadn't have been already redone ,I would have never touched it ,also it wore one of the Kerrs pads ,also had some pretty sorrowful case colors and a Home Made Very Large beaver tail Forend , as a side note ,the Barrels are 30" Long and with the Beavertail ,although there was an extreme amount of work that went into it ,it really made the gun Front Heavy ! Brad Recolored it put an original Period Nibbed Pad on it and I had an original OO Frame DHE Forend which he Fitted ,Finished and shipped her home !

Daryl ,I mentioned last evening ,I have been searching for a duplicate mat ,but to no avail ! The hat is a Filson ,I have owned it quite a while ,but I purchased it at Nemacolin Woodlands her in Pa. when they were still in business ,up on Rte. 40 ! They still have the Gun Museum open on the Weekends as far as I know ,at one point they had 37 or so Parkers in there on display with one of every model Winchester ever built so the story goes ! The one Parker was a Beautiful high condition 8 Ga. ,Old Charlie would give Both his eye teeth for I am sure ,I'm not positive but I think I recall it being a D Grade and I know for sure it was a Hammerless !

Russ, The gun looks like Brad did great work. Will the beavertail still fit on the gun if you decide to use it? Wonderful....
