The barrels are 26" with Cyl/skeet chokes.

Any clue as to the original ownership of the gun? Sometimes an IBM card names the original customer. This gun may be too early for an IBM card.

"Do you think the engraving where the safety would have been is there to cover a filled in safety slot? I dont know how Parker did their no safety guns, I am sure someone will chime in."
It looks to me like the slot is there but has been filled in. I think I see a section of the slot extending to the right of the engraving. Interesting gun! |

Hi is is entirely correct as the slot was filled and engraved over as evidenced in the pics

That no safety treatment (filling and engraving over) is often factory done.
And not as often seen is the is the solid (no slot - no filled) top tang more often seen on competition and pigeon guns. .

Safety area
Here's a little better picture of that area. It is a slot that has been filled in and engraved over. Good eyes, I didn't see that at first.

12 gauge
Yes Reggie, it's a 12 gauge.
There was another one there, a 12 gauge GHE with 26" barrels and a vent rib. But it had had the Del Greco treatment and I passed on it. |
