Default Bismuth Duck Load recipe for Damascus 12ga?

I'm looking to load some 12ga 2 3/4" bismuth loads for waterfowl to shoot through my D grade with 30" full barrels. Considering #5 or #4 shot, can anyone help with the following?

1. I have Remington gun club shells and Longshot powder on hand. Any critiques/suggestions for utilizing those in the recipe?

2. I've seen plenty of loads going above 1oz while maintaining lower pressures, is there a reason I should stick with 1oz loads or is it safe to go up to 1 1/4oz?

Funny you should ask. I just came from www.shotgunworld.com reloading forums and a fellow shows a picture of Claybusters 6114-12 wads [ 1 1/4oz ] with Longshot or Universal and Bismuth in the 7 to 8000psi range. Just what you're looking for, and they're tested loads.

You have a link to it perhaps? And what is the general consensus on a 1 1/4 oz load for damascus rather than 1oz? Any concern?

I edited my post - hope it gets you there. It's shotgun world.com, reloading forums, thread is CB-6114-12 wads.
I don't see what difference it would make if it was 1oz or 1 1/4oz of shot in a Damascus or fluid steel barrel gun. What might make a difference is the pressure, and at 7 to 8000psi you're pretty safe. I don't like shooting heavier loads because I don't like the recoil. It's just nice to see if someone wants to shoot heavy hunting loads and still have lower pressures they can.

hi guys. looked up that thread from paul (many thanks sir) , and printed off the recipes listed. primarily i am interested in the 7400 psi low pressure load with 1 1/4 #4 bismuth and federal goldmedal grand hulls. and so it began...
rounded up almost all the needed components and have gotten down to the last elusive piece, the hulls. i have been searching for about a week to get the plastic gold medal grand hulls either as factory loaded or once fired empties but have come up empty handed. 1 1/4 load bar and rest of the stuff all came relatively easy.
yesterday in my travels i found huge supply of 4lb kegs of powder including longshot,at local cabelas here in columbus. nicely surprised at how much powder and the varieties they had in stock.
anyway, i would be grateful to get steered in the right direction by some one as to where to get the last piece of the puzzle, the hulls. every major distributer i know of and use shows not avail in either form. may be waiting till spring when federal loads up some more. thanks all.
happy thanksgiving. matt k
