Default 1900 Parker Bros. "Eminent Shooters" Calendar

The March 1900 Forest & Stream advertised a Parker Bros. calendar showing “eminent shooters”
https://books.google.com/books?id=UkohAQAAMAAJ&pg=PA218
“The calendar for 1900 issued by Parker Brothers, Meriden, Conn., is adorned with a number of new portraits of eminent shooters, with condensed records of their marvelous doings in 1899 with the Parker gun. Grouped around an excellent portrait of Charles Parker are those of Messrs'. S.A. Tucker, Capt. A.W. du Bray, John Parker, W.F. Parker, C.W. Budd, E.C Griffith, W.A. Hammond, Fred Gilbert, O. R. Dickey, F.D. Alkire, G.R. Hunnewell, J.R. Malone, Harold Money, C.F. Ridge, C.E. Robbins, H.W. Brown, A.B. Cartledge, C.M. Powers, J.F. Jordan, F. H. Snow, H.D. Kirkover, E.E. Neal, J.H. Mackie, H.G. Wheeler, A.H. Frank, C.M. Hostetter, A.H. Fox, F.E. Sinnock, Sim Glover and Col. J. T. Anthony.”

Has anyone seen one?

It would appear that Parker Bros. decided to increasingly promote their guns through trapshooting c. 1899.

Fred Gilbert used his Smith in the 1899 GAH then switched to a Parker. Order Book No. 41 records BH SN 83855 placed into stock in January, 1896 consigned to Fred Gilbert. The stock book lists a D5 hammerless, 0 extras, straight stock,12 gauge, 30” barrels, Gun count No. 482, Damascus barrels.

And the competitors chosen for the 1901 Anglo-American match were apparently "encouraged" to use Parkers.
Marshall and Merrill gave up their Cashmores, as did Le Roy and Heikes, both of whom used Remington doubles at the 1901 GAH at Live Birds as Remington professionals. Le Roy had been a Remington representative since 1897.
Parmelee used a Parker at the 1900 GAH, but had previously also been a Remington professional.

Guns used: Capt. Thos. Marshall - Parker, R.O. Heikes - Parker, W.R. Crosby - Smith., C.W. Budd – Parker, J.S. Fanning - Smith, J.A.R. Elliott - Winchester Repeater, Fred. Gilbert – Parker, F.S. Parmelee - Parker, C.M. Powers - Parker, Edward Banks - Winchester Repeater, E.H. Tripp - Parker, Richard Merrill - Parker, and B. Le Roy Woodard - Parker.

Only Crosby (who switched to a Parker in 1906) and Fanning used Smiths, and Banks and Elliott (who represented WRAC) their (oh the shame ) repeating shotguns.

IF one of the Parker calendars is out there, I believe there would be significant interest in a reproduction.

Please consider a professional evaluation Jeff. That would make a wonderful fund raiser for the PGCA! I would most certainly purchase one.
I wonder for how many years Parker Bros. offered the calendar??
Here's 1904

Mr. Hause in your original post you list a W.A. Hammond among the shooters on the calendar. A friend owns a Parker that letters to him, i would like to get any information that may be available for him. He is in his mid 80's and not into computers. I have searched the name and found a little but nothing on his shooting career. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Not much in the Sporting Life archives. He was from Richmond, VA and apparently did not attend any of the GAHs

Harriet Hammond organized the Nemours Club for women trapshooters in 1913. She was married to Wardlaw M. (Ward) Hammond who was a Hercules Powder rep in 1914. I do not know if they were related to W.A., nor his first name.

Thank you, he appears to have had much more success as a rose grower and green house innovator.

Nice to see S.A. Tucker in all of that! He placed the order for my 12ga GH.

Parker had a good run at the GAH at Live Birds

E.C. Griffith won both the GAH at Live Birds and GAH at Targets in 1901
