Default Tulsa Show

Anyone attend the recent show ? Care to offer up a report, see anything exciting in the Parker or double gun world ? A striper fishing expedition prevented me from attending unfortunately.

I was there for the two days, Randy. I had a wonderful time, but my hips and feet were sore after the first day..!! (Two Aleve does wonders for this old guy!)

Lots of Parkers were on tables and I saw my first Parker 8 gauge w/ LONG barrels on it.
I had not attended for several years, so it was enjoyable to walk the aisles and look.

It's hard NOT to bring at least ONE firearm home from an 11 acre building..!

I hope the Stripers were hitting well for you? I have a friend in KS who is always after me to join him in Arkansas to go after Stripers. He loves them!

Wes unfortunately the striper trip did not work out as well as we had planned. We did catch a few fish but there were none of any size. I believe the biggest fish was 16 lb. I have missed the last two Tulsa shows which is disappointing as I always enjoy that show. I will plan on making it back this fall but then again archery season somehow seems to interfere with that. Thanks for the report.

Randy,

I know what you mean about the fall Tulsa gun show! I have never gone out there to it, except in the Spring. I agree w/ you regarding archery season then - the rut is still on @ that time, as you know.

Thank you for your fishing report. I will plan on a trip to Arkansas, hopefully, this Spring. Stripers are tough fish & STRONG..!!

Did you get some bad storms over there today? We got it here pretty bad w/ wind and a lot of rain.

Best of luck to you! Good fishing.

Wes we have been spared the serious storms but have had numerous wind events with gusts up to the 50-60 range becoming the norm. And then there's the rain. 1.5" yesterday, 1.8" last weekend, and 4.9" the weekend before. I shant complain as there are plenty of folks who have lost their homes or worse.
