Default Unusual Bead sight

This photo from Auction Arms shows a lot of space from the front of the barrels to the bead. There appears to be at least a 1/4 inch of space with no rib lines. It is a great looking Parker, this just caught my eye it probably is just the way the light is hitting it. How far back should the bead be?

The bead is in about the right spot, maybe a bit rearward, but we generally see the matting run farther beyond the bead with less blank space at the end of the matting.
I would like to know more about what appears to be a triangular recess (or whatever it is) that the bead appears to be sitting in.

What is the grade of that 20?

I wonder if the barrels or at least the rib might be replacement by LeFever or Simmons...
Just thinking out loud...

Kenny, that does not look right at all. I think those barrels are cut and someone took a file or a Dremel tool to that rib. That doesn't look anyway original.... Be carefull if you are bidding on that one

The rib looks too wide in comparison to the bead and it looks like the bbls could not possibly touch if you visually extend the radius of each towards the center. It doesn't look right to me.

Hmmmm... just noticed the left muzzle seems to have been trimmed at a slight angle from square.

Here's a closer look but it doesn't help that much. I tried a number of enhancements but none really enhanced it that much. Another attempt. The original photo is just not sharp enough to get much from enhancing it. The info just isn't there

Looks to me in the closeup that those bbls could have at least 1/16" separation in the middle... am I hallucinating here?
