Craig, beautiful guns for sure! But a discussion of the Model 11 certainly needs an honorable mention of her cousin, the Browning Auto 5 Here are my two, a 1959 second year light 20 with a 28" Vent Rib Mod barrel, and a 1962 Sweet 16, with a 26" Vent Rib Mod barrel. Both in original condition. The 1962 and older guns were rust blued and had the reddish stocks, both of which I prefer.

I had kinda gotten over the A-5 thing and had pared them down to just a MAG12 . But they started this pre 1960 event at Rock Mountain so I bought some more guns mostly 11’s but two more A-5’s . The standard weight 16 with the funky safety will most likely go down the road but a couple three months ago I picked up a circa 1969 A-5 20 Magnum , I actually like the later flat knob guns a skoosh more . This ones 26” IC .

I've got an A-5 two barrel set - skeet and full - and that is all I need. It is a 12 gauge.

Throw a Light 20 or Sweet 16 up some time it feels a bit different . I’ve got three barrels for the 12 Mag although ones a Hastings rifled barrel . But that thing feels like a club compared to the Light 20 or even this 20 Mag . I had a Light 12 with 26” IC barrel that pointed nicely , but I always noticed the slightly heavier feel of the gun .

Is a Browning automatic with a square knob stock really an A-5?

That straight grip is awesome. I don't have one, but I want one.
