Default New Powder: Hodgdon Perfect Pattern

Anyone use this yet? I've seen 8lb jugs on line and it's new and for light field/target loads.

Hodgdon keeps coming up with new powders while not being able to supply its old standbys. Doesn't make sense to me but what do I know? Personally I lost faith in the company years ago and strongly favor Alliant powders if/when I have a choice.

Probably a formulation that the DOD doesn't need for artillery shells yet.

I looked at the MSDS for Hodgdon’s Perfect Pattern powder and it’s pretty generic and with a wide range of ingredient percentages. The exact formulation isn’t shown. Nonetheless I did learn it’s a high energy double-base NC/NG powder. Me? For vintage shotguns I like single-base NC or as close to straight NC as I can get.
