Default Got into the 2023 stock !

Had a taste for venison tenderloin so I got the ones from the first deer of this season tonight . Nothing special just seasoned with Cajun spices and sautéed in Crisco about 2 1/2 minutes on each of the three sides . Had them with pork n beans and a couple slices of bread . They were quite tastey and very very tender

Looks good as always Craig. Lillian likes venison also. She's my youngest Grandchild unless you count the one with a scheduled March appearance. Her Daddy sent me that picture of her eating Papaws deer chili for dinner tonight which has a little bite to it. He said she loves it although it looks like the heat might be getting the better of her. Of course he could just be kissin butt hoping for some more chili

I usually eat one hunk of tenderloin and save the other for another meal . But that wasn’t the case tonight LOL’s ! Your grand daughter looks like she’s got it under control . Give her a glass of cold milk that’ll even the playing field if the heat was bothering her .

Saturdays the last day we can kill bucks in VA but my county has antlerless season until March 31st . If I can get my carcas out of the bed I wanna go Thursday morning and Saturday morning . After that it’ll be few and far in between days until I leave for the South Pacific in mid March .
