Mick is ON IT!!!

I had 7 month old Mick out again Monday. That was his sixth day on live birds. He finds and points every bird, steady to wing and shot, finds the downed bird and now he started retrieving to hand!! I'll have one more solo day with him next week, then my remaining birds will be hunted up by our other three Setters. They have been very patient in waiting for their chance to "Hunt 'em up!" again while I worked with Mick. Next Fall we'll have four Setters ready to roll!! Life is good.

You know the process training a pup. The best thing is seeing that switch turn on and watching all that instinct kick in. They truly are wonderful creations.
