A remarkable early AH. And it has some of the finest DD Damascus I've ever seen.

They are truly beautiful guns the early AH's. I own 83183 but it only has 4 dogs 10 birds and 6 deer. Wow! I would like to own two of 22 but

That gun is also signed by the engraver on the floor plate.

Before Parker introduced the AA grade in April 1894 the A grade was their
top grade. They put the finest Damascus barrels, wood, and engraving into
the A grades. They are, indeed, a thing of beauty. A few had "hidden" game
scenes within the extra fine scroll.

Patrick, is the signature beneath the hind's elbow? that looks like a signature but I can't enlarge the picture without losing definition.

It looks like Gough's work...

Do we know if Gough ever engraved any Grade 7 hammerless Parkers?

Given how early the serial number is (58911), I looked at the tables in TPS.

This is the 8th AH grade built. and the 6th in 10g.

Looking at other higher grade guns, by this serial number, there were 15 BH grades and 42 CH grades built.
