Default Ohio Ducks

Here’s my griffon, Dunkle posing with a nice pair of ducks last weekend. Although not a Parker, the Winchester 21 Duck model is a nice substitute. Pintails are not at all common where I’m from in Southwestern Ohio but we’ve been into them two weekends in a row. Strange season currently. Still waiting for the cold weather and big push.

Excellent! I'd like to add a pintail to my birds bagged list some day.

Your beautiful pup really has eyes for the photographer (you, I assume). That's a very nice thing when your dog looks you in the eye.

We’re on the south edge of Lake Erie and other than divers very few northern birds here yet.

Nice work, Rick!

The season has been a bust for me. Northern Ohio closes at the end of the month and no cold weather in sight.

I'm not seeing any northern birds in northern Indiana. I am finding some local birds on a good day on the farm ditches .

I just got back from a week of duck hunting in SE Missouri. Very sparse shooting at very few ducks. A few more geese, but nothing like we’ve experienced in the past. Disappointing trip, and most experienced guides are pointing to the continuing warm weather up north.
