Bob, Thank you for the reply. I found a DHE 20 w/28" barrels at Cabella's in MI. and am having it sent to Reno for viewing. The info. sheet said that the LOP was 14 7/8. I thought maybe they measured the LOP to the toe. All the info. I see said the LOP was 14 3/8. This may be a bit long for me as all my antique guns are 14 5/8. I'll just have to measure it when it arrives.

At least one of the early Repro brochures says that custom length of pull was an available option which may account for some guns showing up with long LOP's. But, IMHO there seems to be too many long LOP guns out there for that to be the logical explanation.
My opinion is, (and I have no documentation to base my opinion on) is that most of the guns I see that have a longer LOP are DT guns and these DT guns were originally assembled with stocks that were intended for ST guns. (The standard 14 3/8" LOP is measured from the front trigger to the center of the butt on DT guns and from the trigger to the center of the butt on ST guns. Because ST guns have the trigger mounted in the rear position they utilize a longer stock to arrive at the standard 14 3/8" dimension.)

The Parker story tells of the confusion about the stock lengths. Wild Skies is correct. This turned out to be a good thing or they all would be the 14 3/8 pull. Also for me English stocked guns need a longer pull than my pistol grip guns or they are short. I need them 1/2" longer if English grip???, so 14 7/8 is a good thing...(-: SXS ohio

The Repro brochures have the 20 and 28-ga. guns spec'd to have a standard 14 3/8" LOP, but the 12-ga. guns were spec'd to have a 14 1/8" LOP. I wonder why the shorter length for the twelves, got any ideas?
