Default CB0078-16 wads for 7/8 loads

hi guys. has anybody used these as viable alternative for loading 7/8 16 gauge.i'm loading 2 3/4 cheddite with DR-16 ,but supply has vanished. Claybusters lists some load data but dont know if they are listing the Win Xpert hulls as the new cheddite or old comp formed. also cant seem to find the International powder listed. i figured someone else has been down this road looking for an alternative loading.
wife is shooting my Fox Sterlingworth. seems to handle moderate loads . thanks for any help. matt k

CB usually list different loads in each bag of wads. Maybe you could give them a call and let us know what they had to say.

Matt, I use the SG-16s from BP. They come in 3 lengths for different load heights. Have had very good results with them.

Hello Matt, I found a load you might try in my reloading notes, but I don't have the pressure or velocity listed with it.It calls for a 16 ga.2 3/4 inch Cheddite hull and primer,14 grains 700X,CB 0078-16 wad,7/8 oz. Of shot. I found this load on net, possibly 16 ga.society, but honestly don't remember if I've tried it.Im quite cautious about writing down any high pressure loads. You might try this in a newer gun or get it tested.Use your own judgment.I am getting a 2 1/2 inch,7/8 oz load tested with American Select and a SG-16 wad and should have results back next week.

These from my 16 ga. "book". Tested at Precision. As always, use at your own risk!
