Default Ithaca

This was the Ithaca I purchased that started my previous post about why are ITHACA’s so cheap. This one is a 12 gauge 30” barrels m&f with modern stock Demisions. Based on the other post looks like only high grade and small gauge ones are desired by collectors.
Put this here because I couldn’t add on to the original post
Purchased the gun for $295 it was very dirty when I picked it up.
Hope to shoot it finally this week.

Nice example of an NID No. 1 from the first months of NID production. From the 1926 Ithaca Gun Co. pocket catalog --

1926 Pocket Catalog, pg 3, No. 1.jpeg

I'd say you got a great buy.

Thanks I did get it mostly because of the price and condition. In looking up the value on GI I was very surprised on how inexpensive the Ithaca’s were.
I still not completely get the reason.

You did well Bob,
it looks like a good solid example of the Ithaca NID. Most of my shooting is done with Ithaca's, and they are usually the Nid model. I do shoot some of the earlier models while bird hunting with appropriate shells.

Best $295 gun I've seen in some time, quite some time, actually.

Well I got to shoot it today.
Did 2 rounds of trap. The gun shot very well trying both the right and left barrel no issues.
Well worth the price.
Shooting a side by side always is a conversation starter at the trap range with many funny comments.

Hard to beat any shotgun for $295 let alone a nice one! Well done!
