Default Gunner's Grouse

Grouse hunting has been pretty spotty on the west side of Michigan this year. In fact I don't think anyone of us has killed one yet this year. I won't mention the names of the other participants....but they know who they are

We were at it again this weekend but the weather didn't cooperate and Saturday was spent increasing the the value of Bud and Miller stock. Sunday am we got out for a short hunt and Gunner my 13 year old GSP caught a Grouse. He has witnessed us miss them all season and must have thought that the only way for him to get feathers in his mouth would be to eliminate the human factor completely. When I cleaned the bird there was no eveidence of it being injured. A healthy (but wet) bird befor Gunner found it ?
