Some 1st of the Year Clays
Started the New Year of right with a round of clays. It was a beautiful day in Rhode Island. I wanted to try some 12 gauge B&P 7/8oz. 2 3/4oz shells.
I believe I saw Breck Gorman post about how he liked them and Breck also refinished the barrels on this 1887 #1 frame 32” twist barrel fish tail hammer gun. I really like these shells in this gun. I also shot some 1oz loads as well. No issues with shell length and the gun shot very well.
This afternoon was a good reminder of how a lower grade gun can bring a lot of joy. This gun is choked IC/F and a lot of fun to shoot.
A great start to 2023!
