Default Storm Debby

I’ve been following this storm, now dumping rain in upstate New York. I saw Mills’ report. My Virginia relatives are okay, but have had flooding rains. How is everyone in the affected areas faring? I hope all are safe.

Up here in Oswego NY, along Lake Ontario, we had 4” of rain dumped on us today good thing we are close to the lake as things drain pretty quickly.

The central counties of NY/PA’s twin tiers (Steuben and Allegany NY and Tioga PA in particular) were hit hard today. Lots of damage and several towns have been evacuated. We had plans to be back down that way tomorrow and next week, but it can wait.

Having been through such things when I grew up there, I’ll not get in the way

We’re ok personally at least. Some people south of us are in pretty bad shape. Houses flooded and areas inaccessible. The rain draining from inland down rivers and blocked by bridges and highways is the problem now

Lots of wind and rain Friday in the Harrisburg area. There was a F1 tornado that came thru a few miles south of me. Pretty rare in this area. No one killed or injured that I know of. Guess it's back to mowing grass again.

Glad to hear folks are okay. The flooding looked very bad all the way up from Florida to New York. We have family in Virginia and New York and they all made it through okay, but had some flood damage.

My best to everyone impacted by this storm.

Still no rain here in the northern panhandle of West Virginia, drought conditions persist.
The storm damage in New England looked devastating. Praying for all those affected
