The ejector stop plate was either replaced and not fitted properly. OR it was installed upside down.
The plate should be fitted to match the contour of the dolls head extension. Flat on the bottom and concave on the top.

Not only is the fit of the stop plate incorrect, the fit of the entire doll’s head is incorrect - possibly indicating the barrels came from a different gun. We often see evidence of barrels brought back on face evidenced by the gaps left on each side under the sides of the “page boy” haircut (for lack of a better description) of the doll’s head but for those gaps on all sides it seems to indicate something more strange.

You fellows back there get all the unusual guns. All I get out here is the standard stuff.

I'm not much for issuing "thanks" to my friend Bruce, but this was a great post.

This is the doll's head of the subject gun. It never would have left the factory with such a poor fit and as I alluded earlier, they may even be replacement barrels.

There are some who would disagree with my opinion... to those I offer these factory originals.

I agree with you Dean. I had noticed it didn't look right but didn't zoom in on the dolls head. It's clearly poorly fit and doesn't look original unless some smith filed it down some, and the stop plate isn't even close to fitting that dovetail. Poor work.
