Just got a Parker double 12 gauge, damascus barrel, serial number 582. Looking forward to learning all about it.

Welcome Jim! If you could post some pictures, people here could give you more information on your gun.

Angry

Jim,
Regretfully you do not have a Parker Brothers shotgun. Instead you have a Belgian gun whose maker capitalized on the good name associated with the guns made by Parker Brothers. These old foreign hammerguns are decorative pieces only and most should NOT be considered shootable.

I'd still be curious about how old and where built or sold. Does anyone here know? Or know where I could get info on a Belgium Parker?

1870-1900 or later. Sears catalog is your best bet. Maybe in similar catalogs.
