Default Bob Evans doesn’t like us

A large restaurant chain operating in the Midwest and south east calls itself Bob Evans. Bob was farmer turned restaurateur sometime several decades ago. While having breakfast with my daughter Madeline, I tried to log onto the PGCA website to show her the comments she received about her portraits. To my dismay this is what popped up. I’m sure ole Bob is spinning in his grave.

Same message at Friendly's here in MD which is right down the street from Bob Evans. Sadly they think that limiting access to a "gun site" will lesson the burgeoning murder rate here in Baltimore. What a bunch of fools in office and those who vote for them.

I ran into the same thing a number of years ago at the old Subaru dealership in Post Falls, Idaho. I could get onto the Fox site and the Remington Society site but was blocked from the PGCA site?!?

Subaru has known serious liberal leanings. I hope Dave just needed to use the men's room.

That is outright censorship that we would expect to see in a communist or socialist dictatorship country.

My personal boycott list keeps growing and growing. Fortunately, Bob Evans is an easy one, as they make a pretty busted omelet. The one I struggle with the most is Dick’s Sporting Goods and the associated Golf Galaxy.

I knew Bob Evans and his family personally. He is from the same hometown(Gallipolis) in Ohio as me. The first Bob Evans restaurant is at one of his farms in Rio Grande, Ohio. He loved to hunt Quail and grouse and was a big supporter of the second admendment. He had a prize english setter and had heard about my Brittany spaniel and ask if I would take him out hunting. He was so impressed with my dog that he bought a Brittany shortly after. I hunted with this dog a few times and but he never panned out. As far as Bob goes-he was a down to earth person. He never touted his fame and alot of people even in my hometown didn't even know who he was. He also was a staunch Republican and couldn't stand the liberal way of thinking. I guarantee your right and he is turning over in his grave!

My Bob Evans boycott began the day I saw the long line at the Post Office and decided to cross the parking lot and have lunch there. I ordered a BLT, one of my favorite sandwiches, on whole wheat toast with onion. After about a 25-minute wait, the counter server brought me plain white bread, barely toasted, with 3 strips of bacon under slices of tomato that you could read a newspaper through. The single leaf of lettuce looked like it had lain in a hydrator for a week or so, and there was no onion slice in sight. When I called these things to the attention of the server, he said, "Well that's the way we usually make them, and the cook probably just forgot the onion; besides, I've never heard of anyone ordering onion on a BLT." I tipped him "accordingly" and walked back over to the PO, where I was second in line.

Dick's was much easier: by the time I heard about their decision to quit selling firearms and ammo, I went to the one closest to my house and found out that there no longer was a gun department.

Interesting in that the Dick's near me in central MD still has guns on the racks and ammo on the shelves. Not much ammo but some.
