Looks like the trap. It may have recoiled harder than the Parker.

Looks as if the trap has already been sprung and the target is gone; the shooter must have lots of confidence in that full choke as he is not even at the shoulder. Maybe a trick shooter; shooting in that position?

Iíve got a friend thatís a Remington collector and he has a bunch of old traps that can loosely be connected to Remington , if Iím not mistaken he has two like whatís pictured .

When were those style hand traps offered by Remington?

The hand trap ads that I've seen date from 1914 - 1917.

This is the earliest DuPont trap ad; December 1914 Forest & Stream



This is neat; from 1919



There were other hand traps including the Bimco and J.C. Mitchell

There is a dupont hand trap on ebay right now a little expensive I think but it's not like they are for sale everywhere.
