Lefever, like most of the gun manufacturers used contracting engravers for their high end work. Because of the number of gunmakers in Syracuse there was a plethora of engravers. We have found guns engraved by:
Albert Spangler Jacob Glahn and his extended family Joseph Loy William Aubrey Leon DeLunsch Frederick Snyder Mary Stringer George Procter There probably many others especially for the moderately engraved lower grades. |
