Hard to say, it belongs to a friend of mine his only Parker. Gift to him long ago. Engraving is like my GH but a bit more detail, not D though. Fresh looking work. Wood all new from some time ago. Barrells new blue.
Nice gun if you like Beavertails. Am not attracted to upgrades myself although there are some nice ones out there. William |

What animals does it have on the side panels? Early D's didn't have all the scroll work.

According to the ID & Ser. book it is a grade 2 (G) and should have birds on both the side panels and the floor plate.... unless that has been altered by some kind of 'upgrade'.

Nvm, thought it was grade 3, misread. Would be interesting to see if it has different engraving though.

It's not in front of me so can't confirm & when I looked at it yesterday the engraving looked too "fresh" and more extensive than my G Grade plus everything else looked fresh and new. Which made me think upgrade. Mine was at home so no side by side comparison.
The gun was given to him by a grateful business associate 25 years ago. I bet it's out of the Del Grego shop, refurbished. Am going to order a letter on the gun. William |

Grade 2's have more variation in their engraving than people realize. Some are works of art and some look like they were done at 4:30 on a Friday. I don't think any two are exactly alike
