Default Birthday present from the family

Just wanted to share this gift from my wife and dad. It is the painting that I use for my avatar by John Cowan entitled "Bad Windmill". I have had it a while and they decided to frame it up for me since I wasn't getting around to it.

Fabulous gift and I greatly appreciate it. We are fairly certain the scene is actually based here on the Rolling Plains of North Texas. Among his many other works is one entitled "Clay County Covey" which happens to be where we call home and I can pick out any number of pastures I have visited in the past year that this image would fit in.

Now if I can just get around to frame Cote's "Flowing Well" print I can get some stuff done.

Yeah I have been a big fan for a while. I would love to get the Clay County Covey one, but they are a little rarer.

I had to think hard on that reference Dean.

I am a big fan of Daniel Cote's artwork. I like that he includes a couple of new ones in each DGJ lately.
