missed both with right barrel
I missed both birds with the right barrel connected with the left!
Barrels are choked as most all Trojans I understand , mine are 170 #7 in 30 inch circle at 40 yards right and 220 left. This is according to factory letter and is with one oz #7 . I had the barrels checked and they are as they left the factory. I am using RST spreader loads and checking patterns at 20 and 30 yards they seem to open up the fairly well . I did not count holes yet , I have in the past on other guns and it really gives a lot of information and builds confidence. I need to wait until birds get out a little more but it is really hard to do as I get so few shots anymore. Jesse |

Jesse, that's an awful new-looking Trojan... did you just get it in from Meriden?
Can we see more pictures of it? |

My last true double was on Kansas quail....The covey rose from a pie between two fields just under foot! I was loaded for roosters with fio HV 5# one bird per barrel...(-: SXS ohio

new looking 16
Thanks for the interest! No I got it about 2 yrs ago from shop in Delaware I think, I will be glad to look it up! I bought it online and had it shipped to my friend a his gun shop across road from my farm. I bought is as having original case color and blue but with stock finish not original. I was prepared to send it back because I could not believe it would be as good as it looked! Well the three day inspection was a moot point, my gunsmith friend , who does a lot of double work ( although not a Parker expert of course) could not believe his eyes! I decided to take it as I was 68 and wanted a very nice condition Parker in my life , the previous ones had not approached this amount of case color. That is what I love most (among many other things) about the Parker gun. Anyway I brought it to the Southern and Doug Turnbull was kind enough to look at it as well as a few other chaps in the Parker tent! No one could say if the case was original or not! Doug suggested that I call his shop and give the serial number to them and have them look it up! He only wondered why someone would add a finish to wood but do nothing to the rest of the gun? l decided that folks will do things at times that do not make sense to us all and therefore decided to not explore the question of original or not ! Rather I have enjoyed it as though it as it is and plan to leave it just like it is . The stock dimensions are almost the exact same as my little Ithaca Flues 16 however the Flues has factory stock cly choke in the right barrel and I rarely miss a bird with it on the rise! My missing with the Parker is because it is new , I worry about it , I have not had time to pattern a lot and find right spreader load , the sun is in my eyes etc etc. But I dearly love to carry it and when the dogs are on point and I look at it as I walk up it makes my heart sing! ps I remember the seller, Artemis outfitters, Jesse
