I second Dave's suggestion. We have many troops around the world who are 'in harms way' so to speak. We need to remember that as we BBQ or fish or visit with family today. None of this freedom we are fortunate enough to have is or ever has been or ever will be free. Not ever.

Damned good question Bill. Go to www.newsminer.com and read todays editorial. They put it better than anyone else has or could. Alaska is confused. I am not impressed. Sarah either has something big planned, hopefully not a pres run, which she would lose, or she is just plain a squirrely political lightweight who can't handle the heat. Could be a family issue?? We just don't know, but it will come out at some point so stay tuned.
I've been up and attem since 0400. Today and Xmas always astound me in their outdoor silence around here. There is not a whit of sound outside. No planes, boats, cars... nothing. Not even a bird song. Such silence is almost deafening. I may go out into the local forest to shoot some clays and haul wood. |
