I've owned several Repros through the years, currently have five, only two of those that I have owned have had a pistol grip; but guess what? Both were stocked higher than my straight grip guns. Go figure.

I had a Steel Shot Special with a pistol grip that was stocked lower than my straight grip Repros.

I own two Parker Reproductions ...
Both 12 gauge. Both pistol grip. Both 28" barrels. ( one has a second set ) Both BTFE. One has a lower 'drop' than the other. IT'S DISCONNCERTING ! |

Generally they are stock less than 1 1/2 2 1/2 most are 1 1/4 x 2 3/8 I have had some that the heal was 2 1/8 Always ask seller before buying one. After shooting clays for years with a 20gauge repro and hunting with a 16gauge I like my guns stocked a tad high. I am a bird hunt and it seems to work well hunting with a high stocked gun. The bad thing now is its really hard to find the old Parker and fox guns that are stocked less than 1 1/2 x 2 1/2 )-: I have a few original parkers that are stock high and shoot them well....Fox guns are very hard to find stocked less than 1 1/2 x 2 1/2. I only have one sterlingworth that is 1 1/2 x 2 1/2 and I shoot it pretty good on birds long as the shots are not past 35 yards as I will shoot under and miss the bird. SXS Ohio.....(-:

I would take Kenny's advice and ask before you buy. However, before you ask, know what you prefer. Even though I am a shooter, not a looker, I like all Repros, regardless of stock dimensions.

Here's one..presuming the reference is laid along the rib properly & also shy of the bead, these pics show pretty straight stock dimensions - definitely ask

I've got to stop reading these posts. After reading this one I decided to check the drop on both of my 20 ga pistol grip repros. I had never done so and shoot both equally well and I would have bet they were close to the same. Well, after checking several times I have to concede they are not. One is 2-1/16 and the other is 2-1/2 which is quite a difference. I have not been giving it much thought, just pick them up and shoot them. Now, I'll be thinking about it and thinking while shooting is an absolute curse.
