If the ejectors were originally fitted by Parker Bros., or even Remington, it is a BHE.
Parkers with non-Parker ejectors are considered to be, in the case of a BH, a BH "with aftermarket ejectors" or in the case that the manufacturer of the ejectors is known, a BH "with the 'XYZ' ejector system." .

Thanks for the information you provided me. A gunsmith friend that repaired one ejector that was not functioning initially said it was a Parker ejector system. One ejector spring was bent or out of alignment which is what he expected it would be. My problem is I don't have any history on the gun past 1898 except that sometime later it had the appropriate pistol stock for a B grade including a Jostam pad and a different name in the insert and ejectors that fit the Parker splinter stock and that had the 1901 patent stamp, as well as, the proper serial no.

That's debatable, LOL.
The Navy sent me to WNY, and now I find myself looking for excuses to go back for good. Welcome Thomas. |

I miss hunting in the Southern Tier around Ischua and pheasant in Niagara county. We do not miss the cold winds off Lake Ontario from October to May.
