I was wondering what the deal was with those parts sitting in the booth at the NE.
Are you having a stock made or are you looking for an original replacement? I have a parts gun coming in that has decent wood on it.

Brian,
I do have a piece of wood in mind for this stock, but if you have an original, I would love to see it. I’m torn between making this a straight stock, (English Stock) which it probably was, or a ball grip which I much prefer. There was some things going on with this trigger guard and the bottom plate as you probably noted when you seen it at the NE shoot? They both have been welded, I couldn’t understand why the bottom plate where the trigger slots are, would have been broken? And why the trigger guard was welded, unless it was a pistol grip and someone was trying to convert to straight grip? I really should probably request a letter since the serailization book does not give the style of stock on this one. Stan PS. I meant to ask, is the parts gun a 12 gauge and would it possibly have the extractor along? If so I may check if my guy started on fabricating a new one. This gun is a 2 frame, thanks |

Stan, the stock may have been broken there and even had the trigger guard and trigger plate bent and or broken… who knows.

Nice project Stan. Given all the work it sort of screams upgrade to me. Just think, a 2 barrel small gauge A1S hammer set.

I was reading the better part of last evening, learning what I could on the grades of these early hammer guns, I believe this gun would be from the Dollar grade era? |
