Default Staying busy at home

The extra time at home has been used to carve and paint a few gun cleaning kits, knife boxes and gun boxes. The gun boxes are for 410 up to 10 gauge. Not all are complete but since I have time I decided to carve and paint them. I need to get a better camera.

My sons and I went for a boat ride yesterday. Nothing was going on and the storms were moving through in the morning. The afternoon was beautiful, if a bit warm, and was perfect for boating.

We will return to the same location soon, but with fishing rods and bait and tackle

NOW you're talking! I discovered "the laddy" on my first trip to Scotland and buy it wherever I can find it; currently it's my favorite but can be hard to find except in the highest-end liquor stores. Five years ago or so a friend put me on to Aberlour, which is my next favorite, and the ABC stores around home here (No VA) routinely carry both vintages, so I stay a happy camper!

Michigan's governor Gretchen Whitmer has outlawed the use of motorized boats. Not quite sure how that's going to help the Corona virus thing, but she seems to think it will. Keep your eyes open she may be Biden's vice presidential candidate

The turkeys were not talking much this morning, nor would the fish bite this afternoon--still was a very pleasant day to be alive and out in the great outdoors. Met my best friend at dawn to locate some turkeys, our season starts this coming Monday. very little gobbling or hen talk. We walked a maze of logging roads and trails from dawn until noon. Found a lot of good potential places for deer stands, and found a grove of butternut trees--I'll be back their this fall to collect some of those sweet nuts. Looked at a lot of strip ponds and a large stream(Shortcreek) for potential wood duck hunting this fall.
Despite our best efforts, we each caught only one crappie, my hands were freezing in the cold wind.
Not having any trouble at all finding something to do during the "quarantine".

Mills, I think a fishing trip should count as either science or biology credit.
