Are their any 100 straight's?

Harry, in the double gun world the best shooters are in the 90-98 range consistently. I have shot with guys who posted 100/100 one time. It is rare. And I shoot with and have shot with very good shooters. I’ve only posted a 100/100 one time. 50/50 is obviously easier, but still a difficult task. All it takes is one bad mount, mistake in your move, blink at the wrong time, etc and the bird is lost. There too I’ve seen few 50/50 in competition. I’ve had more of those than 100s, but would still like more. There’s always those one or two birds that you have a brain-fart with. That’s why it is recommended, and here at The Rock if we have no trappers we require shooters to be out with a minimum size squad of 3 shooters. Four is better. That removes any doubt and improprieties when the cards are turned in. Shooting with our crew, you better have thick skin. If you don’t hit it, you don’t get it and abuse is doled out abundantly!!

I’d say average here is mid 70’s to mid 80s. Better is that mid 80s to low 90s.

Lessons are always available……

Scores vary depending on couse difficulty. They can range from cup cakes to back breakers

I do not comment on other courses targets, but on a whole I'd say the scores are lower at Ernie's.

Regarding John's "cupcakes' vs " backbreakers", I throw targets that are fair to everyone with a couple separator targets. Nothing to fast or far and plenty of window to see the targets. I like shooters beating themselves, not getting beat up by my targets.

There are some places that set targets to "beat" shooter X or Y or Z because the setter doesn't want him/her shooting a 100 straight. I set them to hit them and if you run the course, well done. This is our 19th year owning Rock Mountain and we've only had 3 scores of 100/100. We've had quite a few 100/100 in charity shoots with Mulligans, but those don't count.
