I read an article in the British magazine called The Field, which reprinted a hundred year old recipe which recommended hanging the pheasants until you could hear the maggots crawling around in the bird. URRPP

Theres nothing quite like squirrel hunting with a double barrel.
I was seeing some guys argue the other day about how a shotgun tears up squirrels, but I have never had more then 3 or 4 pellets strike the head. Same people usually advocate something like a 17 hmr which is one of the worst things you could shoot a squirrel with.

I shot that squirrel at about thirty yards with a 16 gauge with 32” XF and XF barrels . I was sitting in my climber treestand . Also had my suppressed 10/22 up the tree .

It’s my intention to kill seven more tree rats . I think eight oughtta be enough to make Brunswick stew twice . If I only kill one or two per outing so be it I’m not in a rush
