Thanks Charlie. Well, the top 3 are 10 gauge and the bottom a GH is 12. The two on top are not beauty queens by any stretch but are both Maryland waterfowl guns, one from a family friend who's grandfather actually may have bought it new. These guns for me are really the foundation of why I got into sxs. I grew up hunting on the Chesapeake...Choptank River to be precise and have fond memories of the "old guys" and my dad in his younger years hunting in cold, snowy and icy weather...the kind that stories are written about. While I was just a kid at the time, the comraderie and stories of old, old hunters, guides and trips still stay close to my heart and are fond memories as many of the old guys have passed on. My dad and the members of his club shot the occasional model 12 and humpback but in many a day, doubles (Parkers, Ithacas, LC's) were used with great success. Anyway, not to go too deep here, just having them, in their original, used and worn state reminds me of great times...
I hunt regurally with the 3rd 10ga down and did fairly well with it (and NICE shot) for the last 3 years. Daryl Corona found it and I believe we traded for something he wanted. I had Craig Smith re-do the barrels as I just wanted to see how great twist barrels would look. I have to say, he did a great job in my opinion.
