Default Need help with old Parker Shotgun

Hello out there. I am in need of some help and advice. I have a very
old V model 12 gauge serial # 144173 Vulcan Steel barrel ~ Not a Damascus
twist. I had someone look at it to get this information as I would have
no clue what to post. This person is a serious gun collector and he had
a fellow collector also look at the gun. I am going on what they told me to
post. This is approx 1906-1907. The heel plate is in good shape, not cracked chipped or broken. There is a crack in the stock at the tang ~ I was told
it was easily repaired. There is a very small scratch on the barrel (darn kids)
I have it stored at this persons house in a gun safe so I will have to get
pictures. According to his opinion ~ and he is very humble ( ha ) and his friends opinion ~ if not for the crack and the small scratch they felt it was 50-60%.
I am hoping that if I post pictures that someone out there might be able to
direct me in the best way to sell this gun and a fair reasonable price to ask for it. These collectors thought somewhere between $1500 and $2500. This was in my fathers family and I know I should keep it that way, but my husband passed away and I have a need to sell. Thank you for any reply.

Put your gun on the gunbroker.com. Because someone here or there says it is worth 1500-2500, it does not mean there is someone else willing to pay so. If you want to sell your gun at the current market price, gunbroker.com will do it for you..

BTW, you are in plenty of trouble here the way it is ...Also 50% 12ga VH will not fall into this price range... next time someone tells you so, tell them to put money on the table.

Hello Ms Antiquefreak,
This is a great place for your gun to get assessed. There are guys on here that know parkers inside and out. They have taught me alot!! I now knopw more about parkers than I ever imagined. And I too started knowing little specifically about parkers a few weeks ago.
First....you need to change your name....in the forum rules you are to use your name.
I started this thread(this post) a few weeks ago, with the same intent as you. The parker I have was my great grandfathers, I have since decided to keep it related to some wonderful guys on here(I am a she also). If I were you....I would reregister for this site with full and name start a new thread....please email me, I will help you all I can and relate to you some things you might expect..... toosanger@yahoo.com Blessings to you, Lee
