I would not worry about the case coloring as they wear off easily, or a nick in a used hunting gun. Don't know about the ripple with out seeing it. I have a single barrel 28ga repro with double triggers and they are hard to find. Since it's a used gun I would like to pay around $6500. Just my opinion

James,

The gun is on “consignment”. He’s asking $9,500. If I could get it for $6,500 I probably would. That seems like a pretty big gap to bridge.

Best,
Brett

$2695 was the closeout price at Jaqua's, Guns Unlimited, and Cape Outfitters. A great piece of Parker Repro history. Not a bad rate of return.

Assuming an inflation rate of 6% The price would double every 12 years. 24 years later, the closeout price today would be $10,780

I would double check on the choke measurements. Listing says 26" barrel, Imp cyl= .003, Mod= .031--- 28" barrel, Mod= .020, Full= .040. These numbers seem way off, chokes may not have been measured acurately or they have been altered. Listing also says near new, not new

John, the difference is that in those days, I had $2695. Today, I don't have $10,780 handy. I am happy with my $2695 Repro and its rate of return.

Bill I agree. Staring at a safe deposit box ain't as much fun as fussing with these guns

I was in Jaquas regurlarly during that period and there were a lot of them for sale. When I first saw them they were stacked 3 feet high boxed up in the middle of the store. They took a while to sell, and if I remember when the stack got pretty short they were $1895 in the store, but I may not be correct.
