Now that I think of it, I've also seen a resurgence of Federal 209 primers... my absolute favorite for any loads. I bought a brick without even batting an eye when I spotted them. Well... maybe my Visa card...

I get Cheddites for 112 a brick. It's all I've used for a number of years. We just received our club order and got a number of powders in the 8# size - Unique, Blue Dot, Green Dot, Clay Dot, Universal Clays, Int'l Clays, American Select, 700X, and 410. I wouldn't say the powder shortage isn't there, but it's getting better.

I saw Eagle magnum shot for sale at a small local shop last week for $35 cash only. That is the best price I've seen in a while. I think I'll be returning to stock up for next winter's reloading spree. I'm done reloading for this winter. Now it's time to shoot, shoot, and shoot some more.

Although this is better than bare shelves it still suggests to me the powder drought may be easing but things have not returned to normal in this part of the country.
Every time I talk to our distributers they give me the same BS "we're back ordered on blah blah blah" and I am fully aware they ship to their larger accounts first . But WTF , I used to get a lot from Parks and Sons in Winston Salem area but about two years ago their business went south in my opinion and have not bought from them since . I also used to drive to Ron Shirk's in Lebanon PA to pick up for us and another friends shop . Most of the time when I call them to make an order they don't have 75% of what I want , plus if I go pick up from them I can't get but 100 pounds of powder at a time . There's another place semi close to Pittsburgh I use sometimes "CAC" , we fly up there and pick up but they don't always have the majority of what I want .

I have a friend that's a shooter that has a 4 person some kind of prop plane and we fly up and back . Last trip we came back thru Morgantown to visit a Vintage Shooter friend of his . I love flying but I gotta admit I prefer large commercial passenger planes more then small private planes

CAC is almost directly across the road from the municipal airport so we fly up call them when we land they drive a pickup across the road with our stuff for an additional $10 , we load and are generally back in the air 20 minutes after we landed !

Outback Arms in Plympton, Mass has plenty of powder, wads, primers and lead shot. Was there yesterday and loaded up.
