I shot the big bore course on Friday with a 30" Lam-1 top action hammer gun. All that know me, know I can't hit the broad side of a barn from the inside. So, like Dean said, ignore the score card and shoot for fun with good friends. Saturday I shot a non-Parker, a Cresent Firearms .410 hammer gun. It was a poor showing, but lots of fun. I actually started pretty good with the high flyers at station one. I heard Larry F. say lead them about eight feet. I did and broke three out of six with the .410.

28 gauges on the big bore course and super foxes on the small bore course. I am confused.

My apologies to Kathy and Debbie for not thanking them for the wonderful tailgate lunches. They really hit the spot. Dean and Larry are lucky guys.

John,

First, you should have been there!

Second, Big Friend Ten is my high condition 32" 10 pound 10 gauge DH that tears up those in your face targets. My 8 lb 3 oz "light" (I also own a 9 lb 12 oz HE) Super Fox 12 gauge is a small bore compared to my Big Friend Ten.

Maybe next year I'll try the small bore course with a 34" 12 gauge or a 36" 10 gauge!

Mark

The point is John is that we shoot to have fun. Hell we don't even keep score most of the time. Actually, the smallbore course was the better of the two courses. You must join us next year.

Don't be confused Dr. John, it's all for fun and fellowship. I pay my money and just shoot at clays as so many others do. If I was shooting for score and seriously wanted to compete I would shoot the appropriate gauge on the appropriate field.

Here is it Gunny! A restored Super Fox HE known to kill far away waterfowl and make small orange targets instantly transform into orange dust! I shot her on small bore course just to show my Parker Brothers the spirit she has in her…
